I was a little heartbroken. I feel like it’s hard enough to prepare yourself, to have everyone tell you that you won, to see all your friends voting for you… and to still lose. I can only imagine the two girls who ran for Miss Phase 1 Friday night…my condolences!
Luckily, Katy-Ray and I decided it was time to “Just get drunk.” So we went back to our VIP table, started drinking the champagne like rock stars, and danced the night away.
I wanted to be Capital Queer Prom Queen. ESPECIALLY because of how much I did for the Youth Pride Alliance over the past 2 years. I can’t say what Shi-Queeta Lee did for YPA, but I feel she probably didn’t. Not that she didn’t choose another charity, but I CHOSE THIS ONE.
Even if it didn’t affect those voting for their friends, IT.SHOULD.HAVE.BEEN.A.HANDICAP.
I’m exhausted, and wondering why I’m awake after a beautiful and depressing night on the Potomac, and the after party I threw, and after an aisle full of cough medicine–why am I not sleeping? Well.. maybe I will go lay down, but I need to focus.
I can’t lose twice in two days… I gotta win the Flip Cup Tournament today. Just go back to the basics…
